This is a tested and proven way to make rice, you will be using your oven, temperature setting 350 for 23 min. You will need a pot with a cover.
- 2 cups rice (parboiled) rinsed
- 1 diced onion
- 3 tablespoons of oil.
- 3 -3/4 cups of water or chicken broth seasoned with salt and pepper (hot and ready to use)
- 540 ml can of peas (rinse the peas)
Preheat your oven to 350
Make sure your water or chicken broth is hot and ready before you start.
Sweat your diced onions for 2-3 min add your rice mix well with the onions and oil.
Add your cooking liquid (if using water season with salt) bring to a boil cover and place in the oven for 23 min covered.
remove after 23 uncover fluff with a fork.
